Equinimity505 is a small, private horse rescue located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that fills a gap in helping horses in need. While traditional horse rescues offer the invaluable service of aiding the starving and severely neglected horse with acute care, Equinimity505 helps those who may slip through the cracks because their needs are not so obvious and may require much time to remedy.
What We Do
Equinimity505 helps horses that have injuries or health conditions that can be reversed or improved such as lameness or metabolic syndrome. The horse may need help becoming healthy in mind and emotion. Or, the horse may need training or re-training so the animal isn’t labeled as too difficult, too sensitive, or too time-consuming.
Our facilities include indoor/outdoor arenas, round pens, a large turn-out, enclosed stalls with runs, and access to miles of trails. We don’t serve a lot of horses: Our capacity is limited to six. But these six horses are respected, rehabilitated, retrained, and re-homed, no matter how long it takes.
